Welcome to Countryside

We are excited to begin this process and look forward to getting to know you and your family. Countryside has open enrollment, so students can be accepted at any time during the year that space is available. Here is a sketch of the admissions process.

Step 1: Contact Admission Director Karen O'Malley to schedule  tour and a class observation.
Step 2: Fill out the application and return to Karen with your $100 non-refundable application fee.
Step 3: A two-hour interview for both parents will be scheduled. This part of the process is for parents only. The interview consists of an observation in your child's prospective class, a meeting with the Head of School and Director of Development. This process takes approximately two hours. All parents involved with the school decision must attend this part of the process.
Step 4: An interview with your child will be scheduled. This is a half hour visit to the class of your child's prospective teacher. This is an opportunity for both the classroom teacher and the parent to see how your child responds to the classroom environment and to the adults in it.
Step 5: Attend two prospective parent classes. Admission preference is given to families who attend these two classes. If there are none scheduled when you submit your application, these may be postponed until the next available session. Families considering Countryside are also welcome to attend other parent education meetings. For a schedule of upcoming parent events, contact Karen.
Step 6: The admission committee meets to determine the appropriateness of the enrollment. All decisions will be communicated in writing by the Admissions Director.
Step 7: If you are offered a place at CMS and you wish to accept that offer a start date will be determined.

Financial aid decisions are made independently from admissions decisions and do not affect an applicant's opportunity for enrollment.
